Kiké Hernández was an integral role in the 2024 world champion Los Angeles Dodgers. While Hernández didn’t have a good regular season, he performed well in the postseason. The Dodgers need to re-sign Kiké Hernàndez since he always performed in the postseasons.
Recovering from an offseason sport hernia surgery, Hernández began the 2024 regular season poorly. Around the All-Star break, Hernández got glasses, so his offensive production increased. Hernández had a .229 batting average, 12 home runs, and 42 RBI.
Hernàndez was valuable to the Dodgers in 2024 because of the rash of injuries. Hernández played mostly at third base while Max Muncy missed almost three months with a severe oblique strain. When Freddie Freeman missed games, Hernández played first base. At every position, Hernández was a good defender.
During the postseason, Hernández had a .294 batting average, 2 home runs, and 6 RBI. It seemed like when the Dodgers needed a hit; Hernández delivered. During the postseason, Hernández played mostly in the outfield.
Hernàndez is popular in the Dodger clubhouse because of his sense of humor. Every Dodger says Kiké Hernández is the funniest. Since Hernández can play various positions well, the Dodgers need to re-sign Hernández for a two-year $10 million contract. At 33, Hernández accepts a part-time role.
