A six-run ninth inning helped the Dodgers to snap their three-game losing streak. Jack Flaherty made a triumphant Dodger debut. The Los Angeles Dodgers shut out the Oakland Athletics 10-to-0.

In the first, Shohei Ohtani walked and stole second. Ohtani went to third on a fly ball by Teoscar Hernàndez. The Dodgers stranded Ohtani.

Jack Flaherty was living his childhood dream of becoming a Dodger. Flaherty allowed two singles but didn’t allow a run.

The Dodgers didn’t do anything offensively in the second.

In the second inning, with an out, Flaherty allowed a single but didn’t let the Athletics score.

To open the third, Cavan Biggio walked.  With two outs, Teoscar Hernàndez singled. Gavin Lux had a two-RBI single but was caught stealing.

In the third, Flaherty faced the minimum.

Kiké Hernàndez walked in the fourth but was stranded.

In the fourth, Flaherty was sailing along until a line drive hit his left calf. He stayed in the game and allowed an infield single. He struck out the last batter of the game.

With two outs in the fifth, Ohtani had an infield single. Teoscar Hernàndez singled Ohtani to second. The Dodgers didn’t score.

Flaherty was perfect in the fifth.

In the sixth with two outs, Kiké Hernàndez singled. The Dodgers didn’t score.

Flaherty worked out of a bases-loaded jam in the sixth.

With two outs in the seventh, Teoscar Hernàndez walked but didn’t advance.

Michael Kopech relieved Flaherty in the seventh with a perfect inning.

Jason Heyward walked with one out in the eighth. Kiké Hernàndez tripled in Heyward. Andy Pages singled in K. Hernàndez. The Dodgers didn’t score any more in the eighth.

Blake Treinen relieved Kopech in the eighth with a ten-pitch perfect inning.

Ohtani opened the ninth with a single and stole second. Teoscar Hernàndez had an infield single. The Dodgers had a double steal. Amed Rosario, pinch-hitting for Lux had an infield single driving in Ohtani. Will Smith singled in T. Hernàndez. Heyward singled in Rosario. Kiké Hernàndez singled in Smith. A wild pitch scored Heyward. Nick Ahmed singled in K.  Hernàndez.

Kiké Hernàndez relieved Treinen in the ninth with a scoreless inning.
