On Father’s Day at Dodger Stadium, the Los Angeles Dodgers might have won the game and earned a .500 home stand against the Texas Rangers and the Kansas City Royals, but they might have lost one of their main weapons for the war, the baseball season. Tyler Glasnow was fantastic for seven innings. Shohei Ohtani blasted two home runs, and Freddie Freeman hit a solo home run. The Dodgers shut out the Royals 3-to-0 on a beautiful Sunday afternoon.

For a few days before Sunday, the Dodgers used their bullpen a lot. Tyler Glasnow did exactly what his team needed. June has been a bad month for Glasnow. He had supreme control of all his pitches. Finally, he had enough support.

Both Daniel Hudson and Evan Phillips were magnificent in the eighth and ninth innings.

Shohei Ohtani blasted two home runs, and Freddie Freeman blasted a homer.

In the eighth, Mookie Betts was plunked with a 98-miles-per-hour fastball. He stayed on the ground for several minutes because he was in severe pain. After the game, the Dodgers announced Betts suffered a broken hand, but he won’t need surgery.
