Gavin Lux walked to start the third, and Shohei Ohtani unloaded to become the Japanese-born home run king in the major leagues. Will Smith walked with two outs but was erased trying to steal.
In the fifth, Andy Pages doubled, Lux walked, Mookie Betts singled in Pages, and Ohtani had an infield single to load the bases. Freeman doubled in two runs. Smith doubled in two runs. Max Muncy walked. Pages hit his first major league home run, a three-run shot.
Ohtani walked in the sixth and Chris Taylor was hit by a pitch. No more scoring in the sixth for the Dodgers.
