Rojas, Taylor, Stone, And Freeman Halt the Losing Streak

Miguel Rojas and Chris Taylor wanted to halt the losing streak with their home runs. Gavin Stone pitched seven strong innings even though he allowed a three-run homer. In the eighth, Freddie Freeman broke a tie with a single. On a beautiful Friday night at Dodger Stadium, the Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Kansas City Royals 4-to-3.

Gavin Stone was perfect in the first and second innings.

To start the third, Stone allowed a single but picked off the runner. He retired the other two batters quickly.

In the fourth. Stone allowed a 3-run homer.

Shohei Ohtani singled but was erased on a force play.

Stone avoided traffic scoring in the fifth.

In the fifth, Miguel Rojas blasted a two-run homer. Chris Taylor hit the game-tying home run!

Shohei Ohtani singled to open the sixth. Though the Dodgers had traffic, they couldn’t break the tie.

Daniel Hudson relieved Stone in the eighth with a perfect inning.

With an out in the eighth, Mookie Betts singled and moved to second on an errant pick-off throw. Freddie Freeman singled in Betts.

In the ninth, Alex Vesia closed out the much-needed victory.
