Where is the offense? Thursday night at Dodger Stadium was a bullpen game, and every reliever hurled brilliantly even though they pitched with traffic. Andy Pages’ seventh-inning solo home run counted for the Dodger only run. The Los Angeles Dodgers lost to the Texas Rangers 3-to-1.
Michael Grove allowed two hits in the first and allowed a run. He allowed another run on a single.
The Dodgers didn’t do anything offensively in the first despite having a single from Freddie Freeman.
Ryan Yarbrough relieved Grove and hurled a perfect second.
The Dodgers didn’t do anything offensively in the second.
In the third, Yarbrough allowed a run after two walks.
In the fourth, Yarbrough hurled a scoreless inning.
Yohan Ramirez allowed a single when he relieved Yarbrough in the fifth. He pitched a scoreless inning and continued to hurl in the sixth with a perfect inning.
In the seventh, Blake Treinen hurled a scoreless inning.
Andy Pages homered in the seventh with an out.
Alex Vesia was perfect in the eighth.
With no outs in the eighth, Cavan Biggio was on third and Austin Barnes on first after his single, but they didn’t score.
Evan “Honeybun” Phillips walked the lead-off batter in the ninth, but the next batter struck out and interfered with Barnes while he was trying to throw out the batter.
To open the ninth, Teoscar Hernandez walked. Hernandez was balked to second and was stranded.
