On a beautiful Saturday evening at Dodger Stadium, the two National League’s powerhouses continued their battle. From the start, the Dodgers dominated. Shohei Ohtani, Andy Pages, and Max Muncy with three socked home runs went yard. Tyler Glasnow pitched great for seven innings. Gus Varland pitched the eighth, and J.P. Feyereisen pitched the ninth. The Los Angeles Dodgers hammered the Atlanta Braves 11-to-2.

Coming off a good start against the Toronto Blue Jays when he came out with a hand cramps, Tyler Glasnow was perfect in the first and second innings.

Will Smith opened the second inning with a walk and scored on Max Muncy’s homer. Gavin Lux singled Teoscar Hernandez to third but were left.

Glasnow pitched great in the third.

Shohei Ohtani hit his eighth home run to become Dodger home run king from Japan passing Dave Roberts. Ohtani leads the team in home runs.

Freddie Freeman singled and was thrown out trying to stretch it out for a double. Muncy singled but was stranded.

Glasnow gave up a single to start the fourth, and Ronald Acuña, Jr., stole second. Austin Riley singled in Acuña. Glasnow uncorked a wild pitch, but the Braves didn’t capitalize on the scoring opportunity.

Andy Pages continued to amaze when he homered to left field to start the fourth. Ohtani singled in Gavin Lux and moved Mookie Betts to third. Freeman singled in Betts. Smith singled in Ohtani.

Glasnow’s four-seam fastball is unhittable as he pitched a scoreless fifth inning.

The Dodgers didn’t do anything in the fifth.

Glasnow gave up a leadoff double Acuña in the sixth, but he struck out the side despite a walk.

In the sixth with two outs, Freeman tripled but didn’t score.

To open the seventh, Glasnow allowed a double and allowed a run but was good. He finished the outing with 10 strikeouts and only one walk. When the Dodgers obtained him from the Tampa Bay Rays last December, they envisioned Glasnow as their new ace, and Glasnow is living up to the expectations.

Muncy socked another home run in the seventh. For the first time since 2021 when Muncy dislocated his elbow, he feels healthy.

Pages had his third hit, a single. James Outman walked. Lux had a deep flyout, requiring a fabulous play by the left fielder. Betts singled in both Pages and Outman. Ohtani singled Betts to second.

Gus Varland allowed a single to Acuña to start the eighth. Muncy made a fantastic defensive play at third. Varland walked Matt Olsen, but Pages made a fabulous running catch in right field to end the threat.

Muncy blasted his third home run of the game, his first three-homer game in his major league career. T. Hernandez singled in the eighth. Pages hit into a force play.
