Los Angeles Dodgers Extend Winning Streak to Five Games with 5-2 Victory over San Francisco Giants

On a pretty Tuesday night at Dodger Stadium, the Los Angeles Dodgers lengthened their winning streak to five games. Landon Knack pitched five great innings and the Dodger bullpen was magnificent. Gavin Lux and Shohei Ohtani had a two-run double each. The Dodgers beat the San Francisco Giants 5-to-2.

Landon Knack allowed a single with two outs in the first but didn’t let a run to score. He didn’t have good command.

With two outs in the first, Freddie Freeman was hit by a pitch, and Teoscar Hernández walked. Gavin Lux doubled in two runs but was out at third.


With two outs in the second, Knack allowed a solo home run but had better control.

With an out in the second, Jason Heyward walked but was erased by a force play hit by Cavan Biggio.

Knack was victimized by an error by Biggio and a walk to start the third but didn’t let the Giants score.

With two outs in the third, Freeman walked. Hernández walked. The Dodgers didn’t score.

Knack had a scoreless fourth.

Heyward walked with an out in the fourth, and Biggio singled Heyward to third. Shohei Ohtani doubled in two.

Knack pitched a perfect fifth.

To open the fifth, T. Hernández reached on an infield single and moved to second on Lux’s single. The Dodgers didn’t score.

Brent Honeywell relieved Knack in the sixth with a perfect inning.

Chris Taylor singled to open the sixth. Kiké Hernàndez doubled, but Taylor was out at third. The Dodgers didn’t score.

With an out in the seventh, Honeywell allowed a single but induced a double play.

Blake Treinen relieved Honeywell in the eighth and issued a walk but didn’t allow the Giants to score.

Andy Pages was hit by a pitch on the elbow to start the eighth. Heyward singled Pages to second. He went to third on a wild pitch. Ohtani singled in Pages, and he stole second. Will Smith walked to load the bases. The Dodgers didn’t add anymore runs.

Alex Vesia struggled in the ninth and allowed a run as he retired two hitters. Evan Phillips came in to get the last out He walked Jorge Solare and retired the last out.
