On a wet Saturday afternoon in Toronto, the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Toronto Blue Jays 4-to-2. A week ago, many Dodger fans and members of the media were panicking about the Dodgers’ losing streak. Now, they have a perfect road trip so far.

It’s April. No championships aren’t won or lost in April. Having a good April is important, but the Dodgers will have a winning April. After the Dodgers’ historic offseason where they spent more than a billion dollars to improve their team, the expectations for the Dodgers are incredibly high. Unless they have major injuries, the Dodgers will win the National League Western Division.

Since putting on his hometown team’s uniform, Tyler Glasnow has been amazing. He filled in for Walker Buehler and Clayton Kershaw as the Dodger ace. Saturday, Glasnow was fabulous for six innings against the Blue Jays. His fastball was the best during this season enabling him to strike out nine. He left in the seventh inning with cramps, probably caused by dehydration. Glasnow thinks he can solve the problem.

Shohei Ohtani has been great since putting on a Dodger uniform. Saturday he hit the hardest ball of his major league career, and it went for single. Earlier on this road trip, Ohtani launched a rocket shot against the Washington Nationals.  Daily, Ohtani amazes the baseball world, yet he won’t pitch this season. We are witnessing the modern-day Babe Ruth, but Ohtani will pitch longer than Ruth did.

Since 1977, I have been an avid Dodger fan. In high school, I became my school's baseball statistician and vowed to have a career in baseball. After I graduated from Pasadena City College, I started writing about my favorite team. In August 2001, I was featured in Her Blue Haven by Bill Plaschke. I was a freelance writer for Major League Baseball Advanced Media from 2001 to 2018. This website provides you a professional outlook on the Los Angeles Dodgers.
