Glasnow Was Brilliant And Had Adequate Offensive Support

Tyler Glasnow hadn’t pitched better than he did on a hot Saturday night at Dodger Stadium. The whole lineup produced, and Shohei Ohtani hit a 455-foot two-run home run. The Los Angeles Dodgers swatted the Los Angeles Angels 7-to-2.

Wearing the new City Connect uniforms, the Dodgers need to produce offensively. These uniforms are fun and breathable. They represent the city of dreams. When I was growing up in Los Angeles County, I had many dreams that I have realized. I hope these uniforms make the children of Los Angeles dream and work toward achieving their dreams.

Tyler Glasnow was perfect in the first inning. His pitches had late movement.

The Dodgers didn’t do anything offensively in the first.

In the second, Glasnow was perfect.

With two outs in the second, Jason Heyward walked and stole second. Heyward was stranded as Miguel Rojas hit into bad luck.

Glasnow hurled a perfect third inning.

Gavin Lux blasted a home run to start the third. Cavan Biggio had an infield single. Shohei Ohtani blasted a 459-foot two-run homer. Freddie Freeman doubled. Andy Pages doubled in Freeman.

On catcher’s interference, Glasnow was charged with a baserunner to open the fourth. He allowed a double. On a ground out, the Angels scored a run.

Rojas had an infield single to start the fourth. Biggio had a single moving Rojas to third. Ohtani walked to load the bases. Will Smith walked in a run. Freeman had a sacrifice fly.

In the fifth, Glasnow was perfect.

With two outs in the fifth, Rojas doubled. Lux singled in Rojas. Lux was stranded.

In the sixth, Glasnow was perfect.

The Dodgers did nothing offensively in the sixth.

In the seventh, Glasnow allowed a solo home run but had no other traffic.

Heyward walked with two outs in the seventh and was stranded.

Alex Vesia relieved Glasnow in the eighth.
