A beautiful Tuesday afternoon at Camelback Ranch, the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the San Francisco Giants 6-to-4.

Tyler Glasnow looked great in the first inning. The Opening Day starter has had a great spring training. Glasnow featured a fantastic curveball that baffled the Giants. This spring, he has demonstrated good control. Through three innings, Glasnow had five strikeouts. He pitched a perfect fourth inning. To open the fifth, Glasnow walked a hitter but retired the next three. Glasnow pitched 5.10 innings allowing a hit.

Although Shohei Ohtani and Will Smith singled, the Dodgers stranded them.

In the third inning, Ohtani singled moving Mookie Betts to third. Freddie Freeman struck out, and Smith grounded out to strand Betts and Ohtani.

Teoscar Hernández singled with one out in the fourth inning, and Miguel Rojas singled Hernández to third, but the Dodgers left them.

In the fifth, Smith blasted a two-run homer. Teoscar Hernández had a two-run homer.

Ryan Brasier finished the sixth.

Ohtani blasted a two-run homer in the sixth.

Daniel Hudson allowed a double but nothing else in the seventh. He will be on the Opening Day roster.

In the eighth inning, Evan Phillips issued a walk but pitched a scoreless frame.

Justin Wilson, a non-roster invitee, opted out of his contract with the Dodgers. Since Dave Roberts praised Wilson’s performance during spring training, he had a good shot of making the team, but he wanted to become a free agent.

Kyle Hurt walked a batter and allowed a hit. Hurt allowed a run. He left the game with the bases loaded two outs.

John Roney allowed a three-run double because the center fielder misplayed a fly ball.
