Game Recap: Angeles Beat Dodgers in Thrilling 5-4 Contest

On a cool Monday night at Angels Stadium, the Los Angeles Dodgers lost to the Angels 5-to-4. Tyler Glasnow, Anthony Banda, Blake Treinen, and Tanner Scott pitched well, but Jose Rodriguez couldn’t get the Angels out in the ninth. Teoscar Hernández had a solo home run, and Austin Barnes had a two-run single.

Before the game, Mookie Betts completed a full workout, but there is no news about his eating solid food.

The Dodgers didn’t do anything in the first.

Tyler Ward hit a solo home run against Tyler Glasnow in the first. He walked a batter.

Teoscar Hernández blasted a solo home run to lead off the second. Max Muncy singled. The Dodgers wasted a scoring opportunity.

Glasnow was perfect in the second.

The Dodgers didn’t do anything offensively in the third.

Glasnow retired everyone in the third.

In the fourth, Muncy singled, and Michael Conforto walked. Miguel Rojas walked to load the bases. Austin Barnes singled in Muncy and Conforto. Chris Taylor pinch-hitting for Shohei Ohtani grounded out to end the inning.

Glasnow was perfect in the fourth.

To open the fifth, Tommy Edman doubled. Freddie Freeman’s grounder moved Edman to third. Teoscar Hernández singled in Edman.

Glasnow walked the lead-off batter in the fifth. He was great.

The Dodgers didn’t do anything offensively in the sixth.

Anthony Banda allowed a solo home run and a single but didn’t let up anything.

The Dodgers didn’t do anything offensively in the seventh.

Blake Treinen was perfect.

The Dodgers didn’t do anything in the eighth.

Tanner Scott was perfect in the eighth.

A minor leaguer walked to start the ninth and stole second. The Dodgers couldn’t capitalize on the scoring opportunity.

José Rodriguez allowed a solo home run, walked a batter, and a single. Rodriguez made a mental error to load the bases. A ground ball scored the tying run. He allowed the winning run.
