Well… The Los Angeles Dodgers waited an hour and 17 minutes to play, and the Dodgers shouldn’t. The Dodgers lost to the Saint Louis Cardinals 5-to-0.
After an hour and fifteen-minute rain delay, Mookie Betts doubled with an out in the first but was left at second.
Coming from Oklahoma City, Justin Wrobleski issued a walk with two outs in the first but ended the inning quickly.
With an out in the second, Andy Pages singled, and Michael Conforto singled Pages to second. Pages moved to third on Tommy Edman’s fly ball. The Dodgers couldn’t capitalize on a scoring opportunity.
With one out in the second, Wrobleski allowed a single and a two-run homer. He got out of the inning.
Shohei Ohtani opened the third with a single, and Betts singled Ohtani to second. Freddie Freeman and Teoscar Hernández struck out, and Max Muncy flew out.
With an out in the third, Wrobleski allowed a single and a stolen base. He escaped from the third scorelessly.
The Dodgers didn’t do anything offensively in the fourth.
With an out in the fourth, Wrobleski allowed a single but got a double play to end the inning.

To start the fifth, Wrobleski issued a walk and another walk with an out. On a ground ball, the runners went into scoring position. Wrobleski allowed a two-run single. Wrobleski didn’t give up anything else.
Teoscar Hernández doubled, and Pages had an infield single, moving Hernández to third. The Dodgers wasted a scoring opportunity.
Wrobleski continued pitching in the sixth. With an out, Nolan Arenado collected the third single of the night. After 103 pitches, Wrobleski finished the sixth.
Tommy Edman singled to open the seventh, and Shohei Ohtani grounded into a double play to end the inning.
Anthony Banda relieved Wrobleski in the seventh with a perfect frame.
Betts singled to begin the eighth, and Freddie Freeman doubled Betts to third. The Dodgers didn’t capitalize on the scoring opportunity.
Chris Stratton relieved Banda in the eighth and with an out, allowed a solo home run. Stratton got out of the inning.
