On a picturesque Sunday afternoon at Camelback Ranch, the Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Chicago White Sox 6-to-3. Freddie Freeman and Teoscar Hernández homered. Now, the Dodgers have won seven games and five in the Cactus League.
Tyler Glasnow was perfect in the first inning. He had great stuff on Sunday afternoon as he retired the White Sox in order in the second. To open the third, Glasnow allowed a double and then was lifted.
The Dodgers didn’t do anything offensively in the first.
The Dodgers didn’t do anything offensively in the second.
#87 relieved Glasnow. The minor league pitcher from the other camp walked a batter but escaped the jam.
The Dodgers went down in order in the third.
Tanner Scott came out of the bullpen in the fourth with a perfect inning.
In the fourth, Shohei Ohtani singled. Ohtani was erased on a double play, and Freddie Freeman smashed the home run. Will Smith hit a double. Smith was left.
Kirby Yates allowed a lead-off double in the fifth and issued two walks to load the bases. An infield single scored a run. With two outs in the fifth, Yates was lifted.
The minor league pitcher retired the last batter of the fifth.
Although the Dodgers received a walk, they didn’t score in the fifth.
Alex Vesia allowed a two-out single and issued a walk in the sixth. He issued another walk to load the bases. With two outs in the sixth, Vesia left the game.
The pitcher from rookie ball escaped from the jam scorelessly.
With an out in the sixth, Teoscar Hernández slammed a home run. Smith walked. Max Muncy walked. Miguel Rojas had an infield single to load the bases. The Dodgers didn’t score any more runs.
Blake Treinen struck out the side. He’s ready for the season.
Eddie Rosario walked to open the seventh. The pinch runner stole the base. A White Sox shortstop error allowed the Dodgers to score. Another stolen base. Dalton Rushing walked. A minor leaguer had a two-run double. DePaula doubled in a run.
An error allowed a runner to reach to open the eighth. However, the White Sox didn’t score.
The Dodgers didn’t score in the eighth.
Antonio Knowles started the ninth with a walk and allowed a two-run homer. He walked a batter.
