On a cool Monday night at Dodger Stadium, the Los Angeles Dodgers lengthened their winning streak to six when the Dodgers defeated the Atlanta Braves 6-to-1. Teoscar Hernández had a two-run homer, and Michael Conforto had an important double. Will Smith singled in a run, and Kiké Hernández homered. Tyler Glasnow sparkled in his five innings, and the Dodger bullpen was great.
Freddie Freeman slipped getting out of the shower at his house. He twisted his ankle a little, but the Dodgers don’t think it is serious. He is day-to-day like all of us.
Tyler Glasnow was brilliant in the first.
To open the first, Shohei Ohtani walked. Teoscar Hernández socked a two-run homer. With two outs, Will Smith walked but didn’t score.
Glasnow walked two batters but escaped the jam scorelessly.
Max Muncy singled to start the second but was erased on a double play hit into by Kiké Hernández.
Glasnow blew away the side in the third.
With an out in third, Mookie Betts had an infield single, and Teoscar Hernández walked. Michael Conforto doubled in Betts and moved Teoscar Hernández to third. Smith walked to load the bases. Tommy Edman had a sacrifice fly to score Teoscar Hernández.
Glasnow walked the lead-off batter in the fourth but didn’t allow anything else.
The Dodgers didn’t do anything offensively in the fourth.
Glasnow allowed a walk and a single in the fifth and nothing else.
To start the fifth, Teoscar Hernández singled and moved to second on the passed ball. Smith’s single drove in Teoscar Hernández.
Jack Dreyer allowed a walk when he relieved Glasnow in the sixth. After the walk, Dreyer retired the rest in order.
Kiké Hernández blasted a solo home run to start the sixth. Ohtani walked and stole second.
Alex Vesia relieved Dreyer in the seventh with a perfect frame.
Smith singled, and Max Muncy walked in the seventh, but the Dodgers didn’t score.
Tanner Scott allowed a lead-off homer in the eighth but nothing else.
The Dodgers didn’t do anything offensively in the eighth.
Luis Garcia relieved Scott in the ninth and preserved the victory.
