When the Los Angeles Dodgers score 7 runs, they should win, but on a cold blustery Friday afternoon at Wrigley Field, the Dodgers lost to the Chicago Cubs 9-to-7.

After striking out the side no in the first, Bobby Miller couldn’t get out of the second inning. The cold weather seemed to affect Miller who grew up in the  Chicago area. Suddenly, he couldn’t find the strike zone. The outfielders fought the elements.

Alex Vesia saved the bullpen when he hurled two innings. Typically, he is a slow starter, but in the 2024 season, he has been wonderful, except in South Korea.

Michael Grove needs to be demoted. If he could have pitched better, the Dodgers would have won..

The Dodger offense continued to roll. Shohei Ohtani had a double and home run, and Will Smith had four hits. Teoscar Hernàndez drove in two runs.

The Dodgers miss Jason Heyward who has back problems that have landed him on the IL.
