Brusdar Graterol had a rough 2024 season. On November 14th, he underwent surgery to repair a right labrum tear. The Los Angeles Dodgers and Graterol expect to sit the first half of the 2025 season.

Since Graterol became a Dodger in February 2020, he played an integral role in the Dodger bullpen. The Dodgers and their fans saw Graterol mature as a reliever.

The 2023 season was the best year as a major league reliever. In 68 games, Graterol had 4 wins, 2 losses, and a 1.20 ERA.

The Dodgers thought Graterol would play a major role in the 2024 Dodger bullpen. Entering spring training, Graterol couldn’t pitch a bullpen because of an inflamed right shoulder. Most Dodger fans expected to see the friendly Graterol in a major league game in May.

Graterol made his debut in 2024 on August 6th against the Philadelphia Phillies. After throwing 7 pitches, Graterol strained his hamstring, and everybody thought Graterol’s 2024 season was over.

Nevertheless, Graterol returned on September 10th. Though he performed fantastically when he pitched, Dave Roberts didn’t use him much. In 7 games while pitching 7.2 innings, Graterol had a 2.45 ERA and 7 strikeouts.

During the postseason, Graterol pitched only 3 games since he missed the NLDS and NLCS.

When Graterol returns in the 2025 season, the Dodger bullpen will be improved.
