Freddie Freeman is an integral part of the success of the 2025 Los Angeles Dodgers. Although Freeman had a good 2024 season ultimately ending with a World Series MVP, he had a challenging season. Freeman wishes this upcoming season will be easier for him.

In 2024 , Freeman had a .282 batting average, 22 home runs, and 89 RBI. He missed 15 games with a broken finger, a severely sprained ankle, and a hospitalized son. While Freeman performed well on the field, he said the 2024 season was the most difficult for him.

No Dodger fan will forget about Freeman’s walk-off grand slam in Game 1 of the World Series against the New York Yankees. Freeman performed magnificently in the World Series while needing an ankle surgery.

In December, Freeman underwent ankle surgery. He has swung a bat, but he hasn’t run yet. Since Freeman likes to have 50 at-bats during spring training, he will probably serve as a DH. Freeman hopes to be ready for Opening Day in Japan.

If Freeman is not available for Opening Day, the Dodgers can play Kiké Hernàndez at third base and move Max Muncy to first base.

Even if Freeman can’t play on Opening Day, he will have a valuable role on the 2025 Dodgers.

After I graduated from Pasadena City College, I started writing about my favorite team. In August 2001, I was featured in Her Blue Haven by Bill Plaschke. I was a freelance writer for Major League Baseball Advanced Media from 2001 to 2018. This website provides you a professional outlook on the Los Angeles Dodgers.
